Duke’s Landscape Management was established in 1986 with a goal of developing into an industry leader. We have grown every year since our inception, now servicing over 7,000 condominium units and over 1,100 acres of commercial and residential properties from two offices.

Eric started the company in 1983 while still a sophomore at Delaware Valley College. After graduating in 1985 with a BS in Ornamental Horticulture and Minor in Business, he steadily grew Duke’s Landscape Management into an industry star in New Jersey and the United States.
Eric has always played a major role in trade associations both state and national. Eric is one of the few individuals in New Jersey to hold the Certified Landscape Professional Certification, which is only attained after passing an extensive exam on insurance, risks, and business law. In 2011, Eric earned his LEED Green Associate Designation from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Eric’s goal with Dukes has always been to build and maintain a professional company where its clients and staff feel respected and appreciated. In addition to running a successful company, Eric also finds time to the volunteer in the community. He served on the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Board of Director’s and held a term as President of the Foundation. In his spare time, Eric enjoys salt water fishing, coaching youth teams, skydiving and white-water rafting.
Director of Operations
Scott McKenna began his Duke’s career in the winter of 2013, as the Parsippany Senior Customer Service Manager, then quickly promoted to the Branch Manager of the Parsippany location, then to Director of Operations. Scott oversees the daily functions of both Hackettstown and Parsippany branches. Scott is responsible for strategic planning, quality control, safety/training and day-to-day operations. Scott has over 24 years of experience in the landscape industry, managing multiple crews responsible for landscape maintenance and snow removal at large commercial and residential properties. Scott is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Finance. When he is not working, Scott enjoys working around his house, fishing and spending time with his wife and two children at the beach.
Construction Production Manager
Aaron joined the Duke's Landscape Management team in 2007 when he worked part-time as a crew member. From there, he moved up from foreman to Manager-in-Training right to his current Maintenance Production Manager role. Aaron started working part-time throughout high school and college and eventually came on board full time after graduating in 2012. He is a graduate of Kutztown University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys fishing, competitive weight lifting, and spending time with friends and family.
Ric Vetrini was a welcome addition to the Duke's family having worked in the landscape industry for over 30 years. He started as a laborer in 1978, working his way up the ranks from assistant foreman, to foreman, to supervisor, to finally management, all by learning the different aspects of landscape management and snow removal. In Ric's spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing competitive darts. He also spends time with his wife of 32 years, Elana, their 3 grown children, and their 2 grandchildren.
Hackettstown Construction Manager
When Matt Cord was 16 years old, his first job was as a laborer for a local landscape company. He carried bricks back and forth in a wheelbarrow. No job was beneath him. That hard work and determination carried through in everything that he did going forward. He worked hard and learned a trade that he fell in love with. Construction became a passion for him. He knew then that he loved to work outside, building and seeing a project to completion. He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology and fostered his love for working outside by working in landscape construction industry for the past 18 years. Matt and his wife Shannon have been married for two years and are expecting their first child next year. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and working around his house. We welcome Matt to the Duke’s family.
Johanna joined Duke's Landscape in the summer of 2017 as our Accounts Payable Specialist. She handled all of our accounts payable, vendor/customer relations and administrative duties. Her strong work ethic and proven track record gained her a promotion to the Office Manager of the Hackettstown office. Johanna's patience and knowledge of the industry enabled our office to undergo a smooth transition to our new software, Aspire. After months of training on the new software, she became the go-to person whenever we had a question. Even though she handles many items on a day-to-day, she is always available with welcoming smile to help another employee. When she is not at work, Johanna enjoys being outside with her husband, Scott, of 3 years and her three children Cael 13, Avery 9, and Kolton 2 years old. Johanna loves to run and hike. She also comes from a large family and believes friendship and patience comes a little easier to people from big families. She is very passionate about her family and we are very happy to have her be a part of our Duke's family.
Sales Marketing Specialist
Danielle joined us in the Fall of 2018 as our Sales and Marketing Specialist. Danielle has a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University with over 15 years of business development and marketing experience. Danielle strongly believes that building client relationships are the backbone to a successful business. Her primary responsibilities include, creating a cohesive brand across many different digital platforms, updating marketing materials and generating daily social media content to build meaningful connections with our clients. In addition to Marketing, she also uncovers new landscape maintenance, design and snow management opportunities for Duke’s Landscape Management.
Away from work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, John, of 20 years, their 3 children, and their dog. They enjoy riding bikes together on the trails near their house and playing outside. She especially enjoys watching her kids play sports. In the summer, one of her favorite things to do is relax at the beach while watching the surf roll in.
Shayne Phillips is a recent addition to the Duke's family as the Portfolio Manager of the Hackettstown Branch. He has over 30 years experience in the green industry and specializes in safety and training. Shayne has worked through out the tri-state area managing large landscape projects and high profile accounts. In his spare time, he enjoys camping with his wife, two children and his dog.
Accounts Payable/HR Admin
Christina joined the Duke’s family the summer of 2019 as our Accounts Payable and HR Admin. She handles accounts payable, payroll, new hire onboarding and benefits administer. Christina is a graduate from Rider University with a degree in Accounting. Previously held various securities licensces. She is married for 3 years and expecting their first child in April. In her free time, you can find her baking and crafting and playing her two dogs, Lola and Jack
Plant Health Care Manager
Bob Greene has been a part of the Duke's family for the past 12 years as the manager of the Plant Health Care division. His vast knowledge and credentials allow Duke's to handle all of our pesticide and plant health care in house. Bob's manages all aspects of the plant health care program, scheduling, performing soil amendment applications, insect and disease diagnosis and treatment. He ensures proper records are kept and that Duke's adheres to local laws and licensing regulations. In his spare time, Bob enjoys spending time with his family.
